INITIAL ASSESSMENT OF FLOOD RISK CONSTRAINTS
What does this service entail?
Occasionally, ACHIEVE is asked to provide a small section in supporting planning, design and access statements on flood risk.
ACHIEVE will always signpost clients to other professionals who regularly prepare what can often be highly technical reports, which can need to factor in climate change and rising sea/river levels.
However, if issues are straight forward, useful supporting or clarifying statements can be set out by ACHIEVE to seek to persuade the Environment Agency – (as the statutory consultee on such matters) - that the ‘risk’ can be mitigated and ‘dry’ escape routes demonstrated using topographical surveys.
